Swimmingly

A friend of mine used this word recently. Ever since then, it's been popping up everywhere. The most random people are using this word; a word that I seldom heard before. I don't think I've ever heard this word used around me more than it has been in the past 2 weeks.

Honestly, though, my life is going quite swimmingly.

My friends and family are amazing.

School and math are challenging and interesting.

Field Hockey is rocking it. My team is 5-0. And for the first time, EVER, we're ranked nationally.

And I'm happy.

Happy with the way my life is. Happy with who's in it. Happy with where it's going. Happy.

It's incredible how blessed I am. I'm daughter to two of the best parents ever. I'm sister (and sister-in-law) to two of the most supportive people ever. I'm aunt to two (almost-eek!) of the most adorable little boys. I'm a cousin to the best set of cousins a girl could ask for. I'm a niece to a hilarious, loud, intelligent group of aunts and uncles. I'm student to some of the best professors. I'm a friend to some of the most amazing people I've ever met. And I'm a teammate to a fantastic set of girls that I didn't even know existed this time last year.

How did I get so blessed? Who knows.

But I thank God for it everyday. And I keep praying and hoping for it to stay this way.

Happiness is contagious. I can see it spreading. And I hope it continues to thrive.
