For the first time in St. Mary's history, the field hockey team is 3-0.
3-0.
And it isn't just any 3-0. We beat a nationally ranked team. The 15th best team in the nation.
On Saturday, we beat Johns Hopkins at their home opener in overtime 2-1.

I'm not going to lie: I cried at the end of that game. I was so incredibly happy.
When it came to field hockey in high school, I fell in love with the sport for a lot of reasons. And as much as I loved those girls and playing the game with them: we were never great. And I have no problem saying that my team now is great.
In any sport, really, I have never been on a winning team.
We know that it's only going to get tougher from here. We know that it's easy to lose and hard to win. We know that we have to give everything we have to keep this up. But we can do it.
And honestly, I could get used to this feeling.
